Branches of atheism
Negative (weak) atheism: Also known as implicit atheism, this is the general concept of believing that there is no god or gods. Negative atheists are often called “agnostic atheists” because their belief is based on the absence of a belief in a god, rather than a conviction that there is no god.
Positive (strong) atheism: Also known as explicit and gnostic atheism, this belief includes an active denial of god or gods, normally based on logic or evidence. Positive atheists tend to be more assertive about their atheism and are more likely to strongly oppose religion in the public sphere.
So, there is this conflict in the definitions of atheism.
I think this issue is mainly a scholarly debate amongst atheists…
Anyone not an atheist usually thinks only one thing..
“atheist don’t believe in god”… and the think it is a belief.
I will be addressing this issue directly in another video.
